The Healing Process

Shadow Work is a practice of healing and Self-growth, which means that it requires surrender and acceptance. Instead of attacking everything that you don't want to think, feel, or address, go into this process with an attitude of compassion for yourself and your experiences. - Kristin

Shadow work requires that you deep dive into your traumas and pain. It's about letting go of whatever has been holding you back. It's about releasing that heavy energy. Which sometimes, you don't even need to let go of that energy. You can learn how to deal with it. Master it and make it your bitch. Through centuries, we've been taught that there is "good and bad," and we should constantly demonize the negative side of us, but if we analyze closely, it's all connected. There's no good without evil and vice-versa. These feelings are a part of us.

I've always done shadow-work, either through my music, painting, or dancing. Shadow Work has always been present in my art, particularly in my music. I just wasn't aware of it. I did not know that the word even existed. I did not have the knowledge I have today, so I didn't know how to cope with it.

I've always felt a sense of connection and release when writing, composing, or practicing any art. The practice of Shadow Work has been beneficial for me. I now have a better understanding of myself; I'm more aware of my emotions and how to cope with them. It's a long, overwhelming process.

I could go for hours and days with this conversation. Maybe one day, You and I can exchange knowledge in person surrounded by plants, an excellent herbal tea, and weed.

Thank you for supporting my art and allowing me to share my journey and vulnerability with you.

I am looking forward to sharing more melodies with you.
